I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled "The Solicitors' Consolidation Ordinance 1887", and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions.
This Ordinance is a consolidation of Ordinance No 11 of 1864; 7 of 1868; 8 of 1872, 24 of 1883, which it repeals.
Practically it re-enacts all of them. The only new enactments are the following exemptions; -
Dentists, Editors of Daily Newspapers in the Colony and their Staff, Roman Catholic Priest, Ministers of any Congregation of Jews, Scholastic, Masters...
